Rinseless wash sponges

Did you pre-treat each panel, I'm guessing not since you only made 2 gallons of solution. I always pre-treat, ESPECIALLY something THAT dirty AND white. I also would've made the ratio stronger to get down and clean out that white AND so your drying towel didn't look like that.

Using a RW sponge seems to keep more dirt in the solution on the car. No way around it your Drying towels are going to get dirty so I just use more towels to dry when I use the sponge.

On a real dirty car like that Tacoma pre-treating is a MUST, using alot of solution too. Additionally dunking the sponge in the rinse bucket MORE OFTEN is key. The sponge holds alot of solution and dirt, so more frequent dunk and rinses are important.

The GD method is also an option for everyone as well

Yes I did pre treat/pre spray. I always have a 1.5L Kwazar pump sprayer that’s full of N-914 available for things like this, along with keeping a full gallon diluted @1:128 to refill it.

I thought about using more than 1oz. in the bucket but hey the bottle says rinseless wash @ 1:256 so I took their word for it and surprisingly it managed to work good enough to where I’ve got no complaints with its performance. Would it have worked a bit better @1:128 for this situation? Probably.

I noticed the drying towel took a big hit when I used it to dry the windshield, you know how along the top of the windshield you’ve got that part where the rubber meets the paint? Yea that’s usually a spot that ruins a drying towel on a vehicle this dirty, and that’s with me bearly even touching that area.

I cleaned the plastic on the rear bumper with the sponge, but didn’t even attempt to dry that plastic with my drying towel after what had happened on the windshield. Lol.

Also, in order to try and get it as clean as possible I went over each panel once with 1 side of the sponge, then flipped to the other for another pass, then dunked the sponge in the rinse bucket, and came back to hit the panel one last time before wiping it with my drying towel and finally fipping my drying towel for the final dry wipe.

You gent's have got a much bigger -set- that I do

I only do RW/WW on door jams, trunk jambs and basically panels with PPF film on them.
I can't muster to use it on paint panels.

I need water and lots of it.....

Wow that’s actually a great idea that I’ve never even thought of… Dealing with dirty trunk & door jambs can be a PITA especially the trunk jambs when you’ve got a hose nozzle trying to not get things in the trunk all wet. The BRS and a bucket of rinseless would be clutch for that. Thanks for the tip.

Back when I used Wolfgang Uber for rinseless, my BRS would also get dirty/stained. After switching to N-914 it cleaned the BRS and it looks brand new again. I had purchased another BRS expecting to replace it but that one is still in the package due to how N-914 keeps mine looking great.

That’s literally what it was made for. It scared me at first but I tried it for a while and it works.

I watched a video earlier on youtube by Eddie Colon - funny guy - he demonstrated a big difference in how DIY left the towel clean comparable to absolute after soaking for a while. It was interesting.

That's what I started using rinse-less/water-less products for too, door jambs, engine bays ect.

While I still feel safer using lots of soap and lots of water, I'm slowly gaining confidence in rinse-less for paint.

I think the key with rinse-less is thinking on your feet, as in don't just treat every wash the same or follow a set routine. Sometimes you will need more pre-soak, sometimes you will need to use more towels or more frequent dunking, sometimes you may need to pre-rinse the certain areas, sometimes you only need the basics.
