Wheel/tire detailing roller stand....recommendations?
Thinking about getting a wheel stand for detailing (re coating) my summer wheels during the winter months. What do yinz use and or recommend?

I think there are only 2 versions on the market to choose from - the Cycloshine and the knockoff which is sold under Maxshine, Adams and a few other brands.
I thought about buying one but couldn't justify the price just to do our 2 cars. If your going to be doing multiple detailing jobs then perhaps its a good investment but maybe not so much for personal use. (my 2cents)
For a much less expensive option some have suggested a motorcycle wheel stand. Auto Fanatic made THIS recommendation on his channel.

I've seen folks simply stand them up in the opening of a 5 Gallon Bucket - haven't tried it myself - but seems simple enough for what it's worth.

Save your money and go to Lowes and use 5 Gallon Buckets. Work great, very stable unless the wheel is HUGE and they are going to get loads of use for other things too. I use them all the time.

I have the Adams one and I didn’t think I would need it. But definitely worth it. They are always in sale.
Did the bucket thing for awhile and the rotation alone from the wheel stand is one of the pros.

I did the bucket thing a couple times, but found it started to distort the shape of the bucket so I stopped doing it. This was with a wheel/tire set.
While it doesn't sit them up higher like a bucket, I found standing the wheels up on the ground and wedging rubber chocks on either side of the tire keeps them stable and standing upright so you can clean them or apply any type of LSP.

Just as pricey as the others but without the top side roller.

The bucket thing sounds alright but i think i would be better off tossing in up and standing it up on the workbench. its the idea of being able to spin the wheel and tire is what would make it worth it and so much easier/faster
