GG Pad Washer- what am I doing wrong?
I've been using a GG Pad Washer to clean my pads, but something is wrong with my technique (I think). I'm trying to clean my 5.5" GG6 pads using a GG 5" vented backing plate. I have the water set just a bit over the Grit Guard when the guard is fully depressed. I pump the GG6 up and down a few times while off to soak the pad, then I turn it on to speed 4 and pump it up and down again. As I am moving it up and down, quite a bit of water splashes out of the Pad washer and onto the floor, and onto me. It's really messy. I have no problem using speed 6 to wring out the pad, but the actual pad cleaning splashes way too much water out of the bucket.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is it just this messy? I'm starting to wonder if washing by hand is the way to go to avoid a big mess (but I do like how clean my pads get with the GG Pad Washer).

Okay, I'll try that. Also, when the GG is fully depressed in the bucket should the water level be a little above or below the GG?

Just above when fully depressed.
Somewhere I have a full article on this and somewhere a vodeo
