Help me choose my first polisher
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie and planning to buy my first polisher and I am between the followings:
- DAS-6 PRO PLUS
- DAS-6 Pro
- Forced 3401
- DAL-21
Which one should I buy for a basic car paint restoration?
Thank in advanced!

Flex 3401 if it fits into your budget or get the Griots 6" with a lifetime warranty.

Re: Help me choose my first polisher
If you're new to using a polisher, a lot of folks here are going to suggest Griots Garage GG6 or a Porter Cable 7424xp. Both are good polishers to start out with and learn with. I started out with a PC myself a couple of years ago, and then I got a Flex XFE-7 long throw polisher.
I use both polishers today and I love them both. I only do my own vehicles and am not a professional detailer. So, take what I say with a grain of salt. Many forum members here are pro's, so take into account what they tell you. I'm sure you'll make the decision that's right for you.

Re: Help me choose my first polisher
For being new to polishing, I'd go with either the GG6 or 3401 (I have and use both regularly).
Both are capable of running different sized backing plates which enables a much wider pad choice. The GG6 is slightly easier to control, but the 3401 yields more consistent (and faster) results (forced rotation).
I currently run a 3" BP on my GG6 and a 5" plate on my 3401.

To me if i was to do it again i think i'd just go for the bigger dudes like the g21, rupes 21, flex 3401 to start and just have some what of a caution behind them
on edges and what not. Even though i started with the gg6 it still was great since i turned into a 3inch polisher. In the end you'll need all of them lol.

the problem with owing a large throw DA for a first polisher is you aren't able to get into tight areas and are limited to what you can do. that's why i have mentioned many times that everyone should own at least pc-style DA which has a variety of uses and then add another polisher to compliment it. the GG6 and G21 are an awesome combo...

Re: Help me choose my first polisher
Forensic Detailing has a number of videos about the entire line of DAS polishers. Same person did a video on the Flex XC 3401. You can find them on Youtube. I will assume that you are overseas somewher.

I am from Europe and that's why I have put the list. It's easier to find them here.
