ScanGrip Generation 2 Lights - Where are they?

    Hey Autogeek,

I've been checking the website with bated breath since Detail Fest waiting for the availability of the 2nd Generation of the ScanGrip lights. I demo'd them at DF and really want to get the 2nd generation ones, but I'm not seeing them on the website.

Also looking for the new McKee's 37 Dual Stage vacuum, but haven't seen that either.

    Thanks.

I wanted to know this and someone else said Mike Phillips tested the new ones and they aren't better for detailers. Idk if that's true but Jim at White Details got the second Gen and the sunmatch has two modes for different colors. Super nice. I always wondered why PBMG doesn't get them.

I heard we were getting them?

I've never used the Mark II model so I don't have a real-world opinion.

I was "told" that the difference was more for painters than detailers

I'll see what I can find out about when we'll be getting in the more powerful light and I'll see if I can get one to test out.

One thing I know though, more and more powerful light makes it harder and harder to polish the paint and make the light happy. Thus the name,

    The Cruel Master

I don't personally like hyper-strong lights, its not real world. The sun is real world and the lights inside convention centers.
