Re: Detailing carts, what does everybody use?
Its a 3 inch pvc coupling bolted on with a half inch slit cut in the front for the cord to slip through. I just used heavyduty double sided tape for the power strip. Trying to figure out something that i can use to hold mf towels for easy access thx for the likes . I did have to put some counter weights on the bottom back for counter weight of the machines in front .courtesy of my older bodybuilding days .

Re: Detailing carts, what does everybody use?
Maybe it's me and how I work, but I don't see how a cart would help. For me, I have a shelf that I store everything on. Somewhat organized by product. When I use say APC's I don't put the bottles back on the shelf when working, and wouldn't get out of a car every spray to put it on a cart. I put it on the seat next to me, or the floor board. Same with brushes. When done with the APC I just put it back and get the protectant.
I have a table set up with my da's and polishes and sealants, I use more room than a corner of a cart would allow.
Towels and pads stay in plastic boxes, and just pull the boxes down and set them up steps away from the work area.
It takes me less than 5 minutes to set up, and clean up after a detail. Does a cart just put wheels on your shelf so you save a few steps when you need something else, or am I missing something?

YES!!
Aside from that, for me it's come in handy.
Examples:
- When working on my mother-in-law's car, it was parked just outside the garage. Since I already had one in the garage, i used the cart to pull out the stuff i needed
- While working outside doing a polishing job, neighbor asked me if I could detail his car. Grabbed my cart, added the supplies needed for THAT job, and rolled the cart over to his parked car.
(Photo below)
- One time, I wanted to work out of my back yard for some testing. Grabbed my supplies, onto cart, and rolled it to the back.

Re: Detailing carts, what does everybody use?
i guess im just getting lazy in my old age heck i even have a mechanic stool with wheels lol . seriously though i just like having it all within arms reach when doing paint correction makes for less standing up and sitting back down easier on my back and knees

Re: Detailing carts, what does everybody use?
when i'm in the driveway cleaning cars, i have products spread out all over the ground and everywhere, microfiber towels always get dropped. I figured a cart would allow me to keep track of everything and be more organized. Also, when I'm polishing at a different location, I have tons of boxes of stuff that i use, so it would be more convenient to have something to transfer product from vehicle to garage, and not have my products just spread out all over the grounds to be stepped on. Its beginning to be a big pet peeve of mine.
