Re: GG6 stopped working
as mentioned check the brushes, it's possible one could be loose...

Re: GG6 stopped working
Thanks everyone.
I just changed the brushes and it's fixed!!!!
I wasn't sure how to examine them so I just changed both.
Is it possible my extension cord is bad or does this just happen by itself sometimes?

That's great news.
I could be wrong, but I do believe a weak extension cord could cause this problem to happen. If I were you I'd invest in a 14 gauge extension cord.

if you ever want to upgrade your extension cords, for $34.99 at costco you get TWO 50ft. 12 gauge extension cords. you would normally pay that price for just one, heck of a deal!!

I'm trying to find somewhere it tells me to use a certain guage.
I will definitely pick up that Costco deal....just would like to verify 12 gauge will be ok. I'm all out of extra brushes :-)

Here. This is taken from my polishers manual.
It will be much better than ok. It's a no brainier.

12 gauge/15amp is more than enough to handle any power tool (polishers). you can try calling GG and see if you can get a spare set of brushes, just let them know what happened...

I just these up a couple weeks ago!
They seem very high quality, soft, and easily manageable. I couldn't find anything this nice at Home Depot.

Dealing with instrument cables, the manufacturers always recommended rolling with the grain of the wire. This was to maximize wire integrity, and help prevent the occurrence of internal damage.
The soft, supple rubber of those 50ft cords are other very easy.
My 50ft cord from home depot feels like plastic, and resists this method of coiling.
