That was an odd experience.
You were talking to my dad. Normally he only acts this way regarding politics, tho.

It's a truck! why are you wasting time and money on it?
Sure bud, who are you going to hire, the guy with a rusted out, scratched to hell, filthy truck filled with junk or the guy with a pristine vehicle filled with well-cared for tools?
And I'll tell those big rig guys you said they need to go mudding with their trucks, they're gay city boys with those shiny wheels and no dirt on them.

I just get all sorts of things that really dont make any sense or are from people with no knowledge of detailing whatsoever. The comments like wax solves everything or whatever they may be just get me angry but its their loss

I gave a half bottle of Collinite to a work buddy, said just thin layers.
Next week I ask how it went. He said " I put a nice thick coat, for a base layer "
He used the half bottle on 1 layer.

Hmm maybe just a thank you would have been in order, we never REALLY never know what others face in life.
QUOTE=WillSports3;1476007]Some older Corvette guy in Canadian Tire (Kind of like Canadian Autozone I suppose) told me as I was picking up a bottle of Mothers Spray Wax that if I wanted to save some money and time, just buy some towels and keep a bottle of water with me and make sure that before I do that though, I put on at least 5 coats of Turtle Wax Hard Shell and to put on one coat every weekend so the wax will keep the car clean. I told the guy to mind his own business or stop giving bad advice. Might have been rude but I don't walk around parking lots telling people with swirled out cars what they should and shouldn't do, so leave me to me.[/QUOTE]

Witnessed a neighbour using Tide liquid laundry detergent to wash his car. Went out an bought him a bottle of Mequires car wash soap. He did not understand the concept of using correct soap but accepted to new soap.

Two days after I gave a potential client a quote for my wash & wax—she declined. Plus this is what her uncle who she trusted more had told her.
"My uncle told me that cars nowadays have SO MUCH clear coat on them that I would never need to wax my car ever."
