Head to Target or Walmart and grab a pack of White Pentel Hi-Polymer Erasers... the rectangular ones.

    Thank me later

Just wondering why no one has suggested alcohol.
Is that not a good idea to use?

Dawn Dish Soap is known to take off wax.

So dish soap in water with agitation should do the trick

    Cheap and easy.

If you want to get fancy use the Rupes Nano with the supplied brushes to really deep clean.

    Then dress.

Ok, "unsurprisingly good" is disappointing enough, but not as "surprisingly disappointed" as your wife will be.

Re: Get Wax Out of Plastic?

I picked up the mothers last night because I had a coupon for advance. for $7, I'm not too worried if it doesn't work well. It'll either be this weekend or next that I try it out and I'll post my experience.

    thanks all for the advice!

Re: Get Wax Out of Plastic?

I wanted to followup on this old thread. I finally got around to this project a few weekends ago. I wish I had remembered to take before and after pictures. But in case someone else searches and finds this I just wanted to say that the mothers heavy duty trim cleaner with brush worked amazingly.

I used it on the 15 explorer which had poor boys polish/sealant combo caked into the black roof rails and plastic trim around the wheel wells. It had been caked in for over a year and normal trim restore did not work.
I also used it on the black plastic grill of my 09 pontiac g8 which had some menzerna polish baked into it for quite some time.

the brush and product worked amazingly and i no longer have the ugly white marks on the black trim. I really think the brush is the key. Can't recommend enough.
