Polishing enamel paint
Just picked up a boat today it's a 74 and it's been stored in a garage it's whole life and bought from the original owner so it's in good shape and taken care of but the enamel paint does have some oxidation what would you guys recommend to polish it with?

I'll have to grab a good picture in the morning but it's white with a gold stripe I'm not looking for a mirror finish or anything just trying to clean it up some then I'll top with a couple coats of collinite 845

I don't have a machine but I can borrow one it would be a rotary I haven't used one in a few years but I know my way around one alright

Re: Polishing enamel paint
On paint that fragile and old I would be hesitant using a rotary and depleting any material left. This you may have to do by hand, how big is the boat.mike Philips invented a process using a #7 hand glaze with terry cloths and feeding the paint before polishing.#7 glaze you can get from autozone or advanced apply a lot on a terry cloth and rub in vigorously.once done then you can pretty much see what products you will need to restore the paint in a safe manner.

3d adapt on Boss yellow pad shined up my 75 hornet nicely
Could always try m7 glaze with polisher first

any wax over oxidation will just conceal the fade.one or two washes your back to square one.
