    Mercedes "chrome" exterior trim

    Hi guys,

2011 mercedes c class with "chrome" exterior trim. They feel like theyre made of plastic. The trunk trim looks like its oxidized and the window side trim is scratched.

I have read online you can use plastX or any kind of cleaner wax...im not convinced since these are not painted or are they?

They are plastic covered with aluminum overlay.

I would start off with a metal cleansing product such as Pinnacle Exhaust Cleaner & Brightener or P21 Polishing Soap.

I have not personally used this product, but I recall coming across a few posts recently which indicated it worked well...

Could be an option to check out for cleaning and maintaining your plasticized chrome trim.
