Re: Best wheel cleaner out there?
For customers like to use 3D Orange88 Degreaser at 4:1 to clean wheels, tires, and wheel wells. I also use Dub Wheel Cleaner if needed. I have had Dub work on wheels that the 3D product was not working well on.
I like to freshen mine up with an old wash mitt and a rag with my rinseless wash. I'll do the barrels well once a month or so if I get the hose out, or occasionally with rinseless and Woolies.

Above and beyond any other wheel cleaner I've tried. You'll still need to agitate, but on those caked on wheels that even Wheel Brightener can't clean, Brown Royal will.
For normal maintenance I use Megs D143, if used weekly, it'll even work without needing to agitate.

Interesting observations. From the MSDS which you can find online (which, admittedly, is actually for another product but they haven't properly removed the underlying 'brown royal' name), there is little special about it. It is strongly alkaline, but not caustic and the main surfactant noted is better known for its bactericidal qualities than cleaning.

Re: Best wheel cleaner out there?
Curious to know why no one has mentioned Eagle One A2Z? I've been using the "all wheel types" kind lately as I have clearcoated wheels on my Cruze and have found it to work pretty well. Anyone else use or have experience with it?

I just purchased Wolfgang Wheel cleaner. It is pricey. I will let you know the results when I clean the rims on my Camaro
