Wgdgps?

This afternoon after compounding and polishing, I applied WGDGPS. I read the directions on the bottle, which like most sealants, said to apply by hand on a foam applicator pad in circular motions, then to buff off with a MF towel. And that was it.

Things turned out beautiful and very slick!

The only thing was, when I read the Autogeek directions under the product description page, it said to allow the sealant to sit on the car for 30-45 minutes before buffing it off. I suppose I'll just add a second coat and allow that to sit for that amount of time before buffing it off later this week.

I'm really surprised that Wolfgang didn't put that piece of information on the bottle's directions as well. Which makes me wonder if it really is that important to leave it stand for that long.

Does everybody wait the 30-45 minutes to buff or no.

Normally you let a sealant dry to a haze (and/or do the "swipe" test) before you buff it off. As you noted from your slickness comment, it's not like you wiped it off the car by buffing in less than 30 minutes.

I'd wager if you put the product on your hood and wiped off half right away and the other half after 45 minutes there wouldn't be much difference in the results, but I could be wrong.
