Which one left your vehicles the cleanest?

Good point Bob, though most of us detailers will not believe the vehicle is purely clean/washed properly in 2 bucket wash standpoint if there's little to no suds....just saying

Many manufacturers'/marketing-moguls' moolah

Gold class is probably one of the better soaps out there, both over the counter and online, BUT there are more economically friendly soaps

Suds, foam, bubbles, and lubricity are poor indicators of a products cleaning ability.
There is vast amounts of knowledge at your fingertips, use Google, Youtube, and the search button.

I'm not SonOfOC...but if I may:
•The main indicator I watch for, is one
certain change in water's behavior.
TO WIT:
-Water, the solvent commonly used for cleaning,
has a property called surface tension.
-This tension causes water to bead up on surfaces...
which slows the "wetting" of the surface...and inhibits
the cleaning process.
-In the cleaning process, surface tension
must be reduced ("reduction of beading") so
water can then spread; i.e.: "wet" the surface(s).
{Note:
Chemicals that are able to do this effectively are
called surface active agents, or surfactants. They
are said to make water "wetter".}

Re: Battle of the Car Soaps
I swear by Meg's Hyper Wash. Cheap, deep cleaning, crazy foam that lasts, and very high dilution ratio (I put one OZ in my 5gallon bucket with 3gallons of hot water). I also only put one OZ in my foam cannon with very hot water, and it foams like no tomorrow.
I also dont belive Hyper Wash leaves anything behind.

I use Meg's Hyper Wash for most details.
Bilt-Hamber Auto Foam for a car that is extremely filthy.
