    Chrome running boards

They're hard to keep clean on my F150. They're even harder to keep water spots off of. Any suggestions for products? How about cleaning techniques?

I would use a very fine cleaner polish by hand,I sprayed some water spot solution remover on a Silverado and it turned purple on me.protect with some collinite wax.

Claybar to get rid of the water spots, then a good coat of sealant. I'd imagine DP Wheel Coating would work great as well.

Reason I bought this 1 is because the label says it's for cleaning metal golf clubs and cleaning chrome, including rust on chrome. I've never tried 0000 steel wool.

I personally try to keep 0000 steel wool away from chrome as much as possible.

If they're clean and your looking to put something on, one thought is CP Reload.

I would suggest a sealant/polymer type product on chrome rather than a wax.

oooo steel wool is a detailers major got to have.everyone has there own system or product preference.weekenders tend to be timid,as professionals use it all the time.I did a 05 vette today full job used steel wool for very stubborn shoe marks on the edge of seat once and done.you have to know the materials and the secrets of detailing with steel wool.
