Smile MGB Roadster - thoughts on steam cleaning interior?

    Hello guys,

Only my second post here. Excited to be a part of the community.

Backstory: I recently turned 30 years old, and my father gave me a sick birthday present. His 1970 MG MGB Roadster. 42,000 KMs. Really nice looking exterior, Tartan Red. In my youth, he let me drive it ONCE (and I almost nearly crashed it!!).

I plan on posting some pictures when I have a chance (probably by the end of the week), but I just wanted to get some advice.

The Roadster is in pretty impeccable condition on the exterior. There have been minor paint retouchings over the year.

The big problem is that the interior of the car (especially the headliner and the seats) are a little stained and depressed from use over the years. I really want to keep the original interior.

I actually recently purchased a commercial steam cleaner for my office (Dupray Hill Injection™ Commercial Steam Cleaner), and have started to use it on the interior.

I really wanted to check here FIRST before I went ahead with doing the entire car.

    Things I am worried about:
How high of a pressure setting should I use? I was thinking that for the fabric headliner, the lowest, softest steam pressure might be the best. I don't want to burn anything.

The fabric is thin in some areas. Using chemicals or applying too much pressure will probably end extremely poorly.

I feel like I should vacuum first. From what I am seeing, it might smart to vacuum the area first before steamcleaning.

Anyone have any experience with Dupray machines?
Thoughts about my plan? Would love if anyone could shed some light on how to address my issues.

I found some good tips from this video, seeing as you mentioned the headliner having some stains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT10-bIAgyk
