Never said I only had $10 said that's all they gave me to buy something. The car is my step dads girlfriends car he bought for her for her birthday and she really wants it like yesterday lol I bought some 1000 grit sandpaper and ultimate compound. Wet sanded them both and used some ultimate compound and polish to remove the sanding marks from wet sanding and got pretty good results considering it has been sleeting and raining. She's impatient and so is my stepdad. My mom passed away a little over 4 years ago btw that's why he has a girlfriend lol.
^^not terrible results.... this is what I did on a customer car with the 3m kit that I bought from Walmart for $15.... worked pretty good but the kits only good for 1 maybe 2 sets of lights.... I picked up the DP headlight polish that everyone's talking about so I can't wait to try that out next time

Thanks I just didn't want to make her wait any longer she's already wanting the car so bad she can't stand it. That was only about 10-15 minutes per side with wet sanding included think it came out pretty good considering it's cold, freezing rain off and on and being my first time set sanding and buffing headlights this bad.
I used the DP polish a couple of times with really good results on my daily driver HHR,and on my wife's G8. I did not sand them, and I even got good results by hand. I even used the DP polish with the pad from the 3m kit I had purchased before with pretty good results. Better than than the 3m kit did.
I still felt there was room for improvement though so I bought a purple wool pad. This made a HUGE improvement even over the great results I had gotten from the DP before! Great combo!
