Re: Need better carpet clean technique
Sounds to me like you need to spend some more time scrubbing and extracting...

Re: Need better carpet clean technique
You need a dedicated carpet cleaner other than folex ,I tried it kind of weak on dirty interiors.use a citrus based carpet cleaner all stains are not created equal.so do some home work on that .bissel is a great affordable machine but doesn't have enough power and continuous heat.Till you have the finances to buy a extractor just use what you have and make the best of it at the end of the day it boils down to improvement.so a quality extractor will improve clean fast and drying process.as far as the drill thing I'm personally not a fan of that it makes a mess on high speed,I do ext first then knock out the interior everyone has there own method on attacking cleaning a car.

When all else fails and you've extracted as much as you can, dye the carpet and call it a day. Spray it on and in 1 minute the carpet will look factory new.

Carpet dyes never match in a can, unless you have custom blending colors and variances of different shades. You can spot spray stains and they look ok,but as the paint dries it turns darker than the color and it will look worse than the stain itself.I would leave that to a seasoned interior repair guys.
