Rupes 21es with LCC HD pads

So I recently bought some LCC HD orange polishing pads to try with rupes 21es with 5" backing plate and I had some vibration issues.

For example, I was doing normal passes and it suddenly jumps (or walks away as some people would say).

LCC HD pads have about 1/2" thick, dense material in between foam and velcro and wonder if this has any thing to do with it.

    anyone having same issues?

This is why they recommend to stick with the original 6" backing plate & 7" Rupes pads...

Both the 5" BP and the pads pretty much has everything to do with it. It's not recommended by Rupes. Especially the 5" BP on the 21 ES. I have used different pads on all three of my Rupes machines, they perform best for me when I use their pads. I have the 15ES w/o washer mod.

Rupes 21es with LCC HD pads

The 5" backing plate works just fine with the Rupes 21. I don't like the HD Orbital pads either. Try some 5.5" Meg's MF finishing pads. Awesome!!

So I actually had rules UHS pad and polish and it worked so much better ...

So rupes really makes huge difference by pad choices....
