    Protecting Interior Mats

What would you guys suggest to dress interior rubber floor mats? I know I don't want it slippery. I have Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant and PERL, would you guys recommend either of these or something else?

I only use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer on them and nothing else.

    Re: Protecting Interior Mats

My mats are showing a little wear and I'm trying to darken them and try to prevent them from getting worse. The mats are one thing I haven't done anything with other than clean. I have Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer. Will this improve the appearance of them?

    Re: Protecting Interior Mats

If they are losing color, no product will make them look "darker" once the product dries.

You might look into using Rit dye to re-blacken them.

I use Duragloss #253 on the Monster mats which came with my VW. It hides the wear pretty well and keeps them looking as new as possible.

    Re: Protecting Interior Mats

I used some sort of interior protectant. The truth is most protection products will do absolutely nothing for the abrasion the mats endure from shoes. They are going to wear, plain and simple. Thats why they are mats and replaceable.

I believe Weather Tec has a dressing designed just for mats that is not slippery.

Yes Weather Tec has product, rather pricey though.

    I used CG's Mat renew <just cleans> followed by:

Perl (4:1), light spray, looked great & was not slippery, at all. All this on Weather Tec mats.

    Re: Protecting Interior Mats

I'm going to clean my mats tomorrow. I'll compare a couple of products I have and post the results.
