Jeweling with a DA
Whats the best way?
Say you have
G21
Boss white(agressive)
Boss orange(med)
Boss yellow(light)
Boss black (wax pad)
Going by Autopia polish abrasive chart
Your polishes are a 9 a 6 and a 3
For situation purposes carpro reflect was last polish prior to jeweling..
Are these considered jeweling and which way is best?
carpro reflect (3) on a yellow pad,Then again on a black pad for "Jeweling")
Or find a polish thats say rated a 1 like 3D HD Renew-it on a yellow pad?
Or 3d HD Renew-It on a black pad?
Or use a non abraisive polish on a yellow pad?
Thanks in advance

Re: Jeweling with a DA
Jeweling is best done with a rotary if at all. The extra 2-5% increase in gloss isn't visible to most eyes and getting that last couple of percent isn't worth the cost and effort for most. For show cars it might be worth it, and even then there are new products like essence that will do more for gloss than the old jeweling mindset.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

+1
I also just ordered white buff and shine pads in 4 and 6". They list these as a Jeweling pad and like that they are available in 4".

Agree. With a DA, you're just smearing oil around and it won't net you the results of what a rotary will do.
