I'm trying to get water spots off the hood of my Ram. I just tried Pinnacle Swirl Remover, but it didn't get the job done after several passes. I used an orange pad. My question is, should I go with a more aggressive pad or compound or both?

Sorry guys. I am brand new to this. The pad is from Lake Country, and I am using the Porter Cable, the latest edition. I will have to purchase any additional product and pads based upon you guy's recommendations.

I'd consider increasing the aggressiveness of you polish, as the orange pad is already somewhat aggressive. You also have the option of using a smaller pad.

First, if your not on speed 6 with 15 lbs of downward pressure, try that. If that still does not cut it, I'd go with a 5" backing plate (better at cutting and polishing than the 6") and some microfiber pads (cuts better than foam), and if that doesn't work, get a more aggressive compound.
