Have you looked into purchasing used wheel to replace the damaged one? Junkyard, Ebay, multiple locations online should have this wheel available in great shape at reasonable prices.

    Thanks detail_nut.

I usually use on my cars' paint Klasse AIO + Sealant Glaze. Then top off this combo with Collinite 845. Will this be good to use on the wheels so that I avoid this problem? Somebody at another form suggested that I clean and seal them periodically with Adams Liquid Paint Sealant.

    Thanks!

I used that combo for my wheels before and it works fine for me. Now I just use hydro2. Easier and 100 times faster than doing it by hand.

    Thanks for your comments.#

So this is how my plan currently stands: paint the old wheels and use them during winter, and use the new ones during the rest of the year. #

However, I haven't decided yet if I should buy exactly the same OEM wheel set, which I do like, or an aftermarket Eagle Alloys (either model 056 or 186). #The Eagle Alloys are cast polished aluminum, while the OEMs are part machined, part painted, with some apparently not so good clear coat on top of the machining. #Any (probably subjective) opinions? #Is it safe to assume both the OEM and the after market wheels will provide with good, safe performance? which of the two would be better for detailing purposes (i.e., which of the two would keep looking their best)?
