    Meguiar's D114 as Quick Detailer?

I want to get a cheap QD as I use a lot of it. I have ONR but read it does not have the lubricity common of most QDs and is not good as a QD at the specified dilution ratio. UWW+ is good but not cheap though it is on sale right now.

Does anyone use Meguiar's D114 as a QD? If so at what dilution and is there the slickiness and lubricity that one expects from a QD?

    Yep, it's Excellent.

For "Light" Cleaning: 1:256... this is Clay Lube strength also.

For anything over "Light": 1:128 . I found @ this ratio, it's a bit "grabby" with the initial wipe but very slick after the "Final" wipe.

    hope it helps

    Thanks for the response.

Just another thought, if using as a QD, would D114 or D115 be better?

Depends if you want protection left behind. D115 will leave behind some wax whereas D114 will leave nothing behind.

    (Sorry for the delay)

    To date:
A considerable body of evidence has been presented
that shows Meguiar's D114 has a substantial degree
of longitudinal, as well as cross-situational consistency.

You can use it as a QD but don't expect it to enhance gloss. Other than that it will meet just about every expectation you can imagine. Solid product.
