Re: Meguiar's D114 as Quick Detailer?

D114 has been a wonderful product for me

    Quick detailer
    Waterless wash
    Rinseless wash
    Maintenance for Interior
    Window cleaner
    Panel wipe
    Microfibers presoak
    House hold stuff
    Light stain on jeans

    Regards

Re: Meguiar's D114 as Quick Detailer?

I just purchased D114 for winter.
I just clayed, cleaned an sealed the paint.

Will D114 strip wax? Do I need to reapply wax or sealant after d114?

If you use it at a strong enough dilution it can. If it's used as directed it's fine.

If used at 1:128 or weaker it won't strip anything.

So 1:128 is good to use as quick detailer. 1:128 is also the dilution ratio for waterless wash isn't it? So essentially when you quick detail it using that ratio, you are doing a waterless wash? Same thing different terms?

More or less. Most waterless washes now clean better and safer than QDs and usually have glossing or "wax" agents that leave a slick and glossy finish too.

When Dr. Bob speaks, people listen. He gives some of the best answers! :-)

Now onto the question, Mask had a great list and I'll just add a few things. D114 can be used as a clay lubricant, it's great for interiors, and it can be used after compound/polish or wax to remove remaining residue and dust.

    Hope this helps!
