I'm hoping this is a joke. I'm guessing the seats are the only thing that didn't entirely get destroyed when the car was fully engulfed in flames?

Yeah, the only thing that can save that is a car crusher!
It looks like a flood victim and that is some serious mold and mildew.

not joking, lol. I work with a guy that says he has marine products that'll clean it right up?! I've done mild mildew, but this is obviously, a bit more than light mildew.

Re: Leather experts Needed!!
Even if their were something that could possibly clean the surface the mold and mildew has penetrated into the leather and the cushioning of those seats. They are to say the least a health hazard. Nothing can save those seats.

Re: Leather experts Needed!!
Depends on what your definition of saved is, most likely can be improved upon. What have u done so far? Whatever u do be gentle, as it looks rather fragile, more damage from cleaning, is not desirable. Is there mold, or fungus growth?

Re: Leather experts Needed!!
I want clean and safe. I was curious about whether or not it would penetrate into the foam parts of the seat (and be NOT safe). Basically, is it possible to clean these and make them look good and NOT be a health hazard, lol

Re: Leather experts Needed!!
Can I asked what happened? Those are not hd pics but if that's mold and mildew it would be in the padding, carpet and likely where you can't see. I'm trained at mold removal and if its in an occupied dwelling or office most times anything porous would be removed and replaced, structure material would be cleaned and tested. I'd say there's no hope and if do try at least read up on the risks of mold and safety precaution

Re: Leather experts Needed!!
No hope is the direction I'm leaning towards The situation is, I'm looking for leather rear seats for my trailblazer and a local salvage yard had these and had them for $75. UNTIL they noticed how bad they were and claimed they were not saleable because of mildew. I said throw me some pics and I'll see, maybe I can clean them. BUT, thought my cards were stacked against me, just didn't know if you folks had a secret formula or something, lol I'm also guessing, I wouldn't get that leather smell, I love either.. haha
