steel wool to clean windshield ?

I bot some plastic razor blades from AG recently. Just to have some in case. Haven't tried them yet. EZ-grip on AG's front product page.

I haven't had any adverse affects from using 0000 steel wool. I have also used razor blades with a window cleaner.
IF you use 0000 steel wool, PLEASE be sure it's on a dry window and use nothing that would be wet.

If they are these: ScrapeRite Plastic Razor Blades, Scrape-Rite Razor Blades, Plastic blades, they work very well

Hi, could you please explain why use steel wool on a dry window? I've used it for years, but like clay, I use a lubricant with the steel wool so you aren't tempted to rub harder and it allows the steel wool to just glide lightly over the glass.

That sounds a bit risky. Glad you didn't see any scratching.

To the thread: I would think if steel wool would scratch that metal razor blades would too.

Used 4 0 steel wool with paste metal polish for heavily tarnished
or pitted tailpipes or engine blocks without issues but haven't with glass.

If you've ever ridden a motorcycle, especially on a highway, you feel like you're getting sandblasted by road debris. You just constantly feel the pebbles and rocks hitting you (or your car, especially the windshield). I've found that 0000 steel wool ONLY is great for getting gunk and schmuck of windshields. It just works. I've used it on my Harley chrome for years and I have a very discriminating eye. It doesn't scratch it. To each his own, I guess.

Because it will cause the steel wool to rust.......... don't believe otherwise.
