    Clear failure

My friends 08 civic is worse than I thought. It looks like the entire car pretty much has clear coat failure. I was gonna use hd speed on it but I don't know what to do. Should I just clay it and go over it once with a polishing pad and call it quits. I don't want to burn through anywhere

    Re: Clear failure

I see Honda Civics and Accords and Camry's all the time down here in Fla. that are only a few years old that have massive clear coat failure. It's always on the roof and rear trunk deck area. My buddy had a brand new Sti and in less than 2 years the paint was trash. Leads me to believe they put out some garbage paint jobs. My 2003 Xterra was outside for 12 years in the beating Florida sun and the paint was pretty darn cherry considering. I'd say you can't do much but probably make it worse.

Glaze then wax frank. Don't put too much work into it.

The paint will go dull rather quickly
