    How versatile is a steamer?

    Aloha!

So I purchased the steamer posted below. I look forward to using it in my interior details. But can I use it for exterior use as well? Cleaning emblems, tires and wheel wells, wheels, jambs and seals, engine, etc.

Mahalo (Thank you in Hawaiian) in advance for your responses!

You got it! Works great on engine bays, door jams, removing ppf. List goes on and on. Just make sure to use DI water.

    Acronyms

    PPF - Paint Protection Film
    DI Water - Deionized Water

How do you like that steam cleaner? How does the carpets & upholstery/cloth seats come out? Looks small and versatile.

Haven't used it yet. Gonna use it for a detail this Friday. Cadillac Escalade coming in for a leather reconditioning conditioning.

Steamers are very useful and versatile. Some times they can clean things nothing else can.

I think ever detailer should own one.

With that being said, I use mine as little as possible. Working with steam is very annoying in an enclosed space like a car interior. It's always my last resort for clean something. On the outside, no such problems but I usually go for other solutions anyway.

I hardly ever use my steamer, I wish I spent that $900 differently.

Just be careful on leather with steamer. Always have a MF towel in between and don`t stay in one place too long.

Just a tip on that particular steamer model, make sure you don't overfill it, otherwise you end up with a water jet instead of a steamer...
