Long throw orbital polisher
Sorry to sound ignorant, but can someone explain the term "long throw"? Does that refer wider inner circles / action of the orbital pad vs a typical PC7424?
I hear the term being used with the new "Boss" but I'm new to machine applications.
Excuse the typos- iPhone

Re: Long throw orbital polisher
When Porter Cable first offered their da for polishing paint they were about 6mm throw machines ( the stroke the pad traveled back and forth as it also rotated. The new era of machines started when Rupes created a 21mm stroke machine ( some call a long stroke ).
