NXT 2.0 next coat time
So I just applied some NXT 2.0 (yes I still have some and use it, I guess I am just too cheap to toss it). My question, when can I apply a second coat of the stuff? Does it need 24 hours like Wolfgang sealant 3.0?

If I remember correctly that product has cleaners in it, so there is no point in applying a second coat. The cleaners from the second coat will remove the first.

12 hours is good enough between coats.

I found this.

I remember the: "has cleaners debate"...a little differently.

"So we've all heard the debate of the cleaners in this product. Some insist that it because they think it clenas, it can not be layered, out over certain products, etc. Meguiars though cinstantly reinforces the idea that the user will recieve more cleaning capabilities in the movement of the applicator then the chemicals in the product."

We classify NXT Tech Wax 2.0 as a polish wax, not a cleaner wax. Period. As a polish wax it certainly has the ability to hide some very fine defects, but then again so do virtually all waxes and sealants, at least to some degree, simply by virtue of the fact that you leave something behind when applying them.
While it is true that we are not proponents of "layering" per se, we have long recommended two thin coats just to ensure uniform coverage and appearance. That includes when using NXT Tech Wax 2.0."

So wait 12 hours and apply again, or just apply now?

What if I topped it with Meg's 26?

The solvents in #26 that allow for the carnauba wax to be spreadable might remove the NXT you put down ... but maybe not. I guess you could test it for yourself; do a 50/50 on the hood and report back with your findings on appearance and longevity.

why not just do one more coat of what you already have on there to insure uniform coverage?

My ST I would do two coats of Wolfgang sealant 3.0 and then top that with 26. This time I want to speed up the process, not sure when I will have time to get back to it. I am sure it is fine with one.
