Test spot
Can test spots for paint correction be done in direct sunlight?. Don't have sufficient lighting as of yet. The vehicle is a Honda Accord and the colour is white.

Re: Test spot
Since the car is white, you shouldn't have to worry about the surface getting too hot. The question is, are the products you're using OK to be used in the sun. That being said, I have done more than one test spot outside on a sunny day.

Re: Test spot
The simple answer is...
NO!!!!
At least NOT with 105/205 and ESPECIALLY 105. I'd suggest you either move to 101 or mix UC with 105 half and half. The thing with 105 is it'll dry really really REALLY quickly in the sun. And as such IS NOT recommended to be used in the sun. It'll dry stupid quick on it's own, often only going for 3~4 section passes MAX. Anything more than a couple of passes and you're pushing your luck. Of course mineral oil (baby oil) can help it work longer but that's a catch 22 as it's another level of oily.
As for a product that's easy to work with, (if you want to keep with Meguiar's) it's hard to beat UC and UP. But yes, 205 would fall into 'easy' as well.
If you want something that you can work longer, provides excellent (initial) cut, AND finishes out literally LSP ready (beyond belief at times). Get yourself some FG400! Use that with an orange (or possibly white) LC pad and you'll be blown away at how effective it is.
The reality however of all of these are that you need at least SOME semblance of shade. Even if you have to keep moving the car to chase the shade, that'll be better than trying to do it all in the sun.
