High spots are always a possibility, one way to help avoid them is to lightly buff the panel after applying. This won't remove the coating but will help knock down high spots. I don't know how readily seen they are on Crystal coat or how well it levels itself. You just need to remember a light touch when applying, especially on the first pass when you have the most product on the applicator. But it's relatively easy to pick it up quick.
