One Step Corrections
What would you call the best product for the money with using it for one step correction?

Re: One Step Corrections
The "best" I would say all depends on the type of paint and condition of paint. Also what you like to work with.
For myself, I bought a gallon of Meguiars PRC as it is one of the mosre aggressive AIO's from what I've read.

There are WAY too many good products to pick just one. You also have to consider the amount of correction that you want and how well you want the product to finish down ... will it need a milder polish to chase it down with?

Say its a daily driver, older car and the person doesn't really take care of it but wants it buffed. Obviously not going to waste time on a three step. Looking for that all in one product then polish it with a finishing compound

That narrows it down a bit, you'll want to get a good cleaner/wax. Klasse has their AIO, Meguiar's has their cleaner wax and Color-X. Mother's has a good cleaner-wax. From there you go into all the higher-end products that I can't even remember.

Are you referring to an ALl in one that also leaves protection?
If that is the case the new Wolfgang AIO is excellent. XMT360 is perhaps the easiest to use but not very agressive as far as cut. There are many more.
If you want a compound that finishes down good enough to not require polishing, than Wolfgang Uber compound is excellent. But using a compound or polish that does not include protection than requires a protective step, making it a two step process.

depending on the paint hardness, if the paint is not soft, I would use FG400 or as stated before Uber compound, and then finish off with just a spray sealant. faster/better results that just a AIO.
Megs PRC is also an good option!

FG400 & Meguiar's spray wax in the gallon is my ticket for this.

Re: One Step Corrections
If you're going to use that "all in one product" then polish with a "finishing compound" anyway, it sounds like you should just use a compound.
Any benefits you gain from using an AIO will be negated upon doing a second step since you won't be taking advantage of the protective benefits of the AIO because your second step will remove it.
If you truly want an AIO, use D151. Great cut, finishes very well, and provides adequate protection.
