    CarPro DLUX

I am getting ready to use it for the first time on my Kia Sorento. I am using Mother's Back to Black Trim Cleaner to clean the plastic first, then an IPA wipe down, then DLUX.

My question is: Does DLUX have to be used all at once, or can the whole vehicle be done segments, because of time factors? I was wondering if the DLUX would harden if not used after the bottle was opened. Thanks for the input.

It may harden in the bottle eventually, but not in any short amount of time. Just make sure to keep the neck of the bottle clean.

BTW, I would do a water washdown after using that trim cleaner, it leaves a lot of residue IME.

I would just clean the trim with an APC, then do an IPA wipe down and apply Dlux. Back to black could leave something behind and it's best not even tho you are doing an IPA. Why introduce more "stuff" if you don't have to.

Just put the lid back on and make sure it's an air tight fit. I usually tape the lids back on and place it in a plastic baggie. I'm not sure how long it will last after opening but I've gone 2-3 months with no issues.

I believe he is talking about the BTB trim cleaner: Mothers Back to Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner, best car wax remover plastic trim which is kind of a gel APC, which the directions say just to wipe dry (no rinsing). I find, as you can imagine, that it leaves a lot of residue behind that way, which is why I recommended that he rinse it with water.

I think it should be able to be used again, because with that bottle, you would have to have a serious amount of trim to use it all.

I have a bottle that I used last used in August or September and it has not hardened at all.

I'm still on my original bottle from when it came out a couple of years back, still good. I just store it away from light in a cool place.
