    Microfiber Towel Wash

What all do you guys use to wash your Microfiber towels?

I have an old washer that has a soaking cycle so I typically will just use that with a scoop of the DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator.

It usually works pretty well. After I soak them with that I just run a Hot Water Wash Cycle and then dry on delicate or air tumble dry.

Reason for my question is I may be buying a new washer soon and I was wondering if there was possibly a better more cost effective way of washing them.

    Re: Microfiber Towel Wash

Usually my split is paint safe and non-paint safe towels. Occasionally I'll put wax towels separate. But majority of washes are just microfiber detergent on warm then low heat dry. If I notice degradation of the paint safe or just at odd intervals I'll throw a second rinse in there with vinegar to assist breaking down waxes and polishing oils.

I use CG microfiber wash with hot water, line dry also wipe down washing machine afterwards, don't want gunk on my clothes.

I wash them in Woolite, tumble dry them about half way in the dryer without heat, and then hang them to dry. If the towel is extra dirty/dusty, I will hit it with a blast from the air compressor prior to laundering it. I'm only a weekend warrior, so I don't go through the volume of towels that many here do, but this method seems to work out so far.

How do you wipe the outer tub? My Kenmore Elite has an inner tub (with the holes around the sides) and an outer tub...maybe yours is different.

    Re: Microfiber Towel Wash

I've used OxiClean (scent free), Woolite, and more recently Pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator and BLACKFIRE Microfiber Cleaner & Restorer. I prefer using a dedicated microfiber cleaner like the last two because they rinse noticeable cleaner then either OxiClean or Woolite every did. Towels come out of the dryer (low heat) soft, fresh, and ready to go.

If you have an HE machine, Wolfgang Microfiber Cleaner and Rejuvenator was formulated to work best with it. I know it's Nick's cleaner of choice too.

I wipe the outer tub by hand I use a apc, every so often I do a gallon of white vinegar to a large tub hot water let it soak. It really cleans out the washer.

    Re: Microfiber Towel Wash

I also posted this in another forum...

I really like the CG MF detergent. I decided to try out the Griots MF cleaner after I had ran out and did not like it. Probably because the directions call for adding it WITH laundry detergent which in my opinion does not thoroughly clean nor keep MF soft and new.

I've since switched back to CG and wash all my Supreme Shine towels with it.
