milky glazey like substance coming out of car paint
I recently did a detail on a friend's car. I PROMISE A SHOW AN SHINE . One of my last steps was applying EZ Creme Glaze and then sealing with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Everything was fine (actually better than expected).
But recently he told me after a rain there were milky substances on the back side of his car. The past day there was more. I saw an took a couple camera shots on my phone. They may not be of good enough quality to upload and give an accurate description.
But since looking back on how I finished my work I can see it was possible I applied it way too thick particularly on the back area where I was most looking for more of a cover up.
The Sealant was applied right before midnight in a elevated city parking garage where the car stayed for 4 hours. And I gave instructions to keep the car away from moisture when he drove it home at 4am. For my standards not the most perfect sealant environment but I did believe he was in good enough shape.
My question is do you think it is the glaze and if so or not what effect it would have on the glaze or sealant?
If it's still there I may take a better photo
Thanks everyone

I don't use either product but based on the facts you have:
1- It's possible because you put too much EZCG on the rear and coupled with WGDGPS cure time being low, the sealant layer is fracturing and the EZCG was leeching out of those micro-fractures.
2- Now why is #1 happening in the first place??? It's also possible because you put too much EZCG on that it because incompatible with WGDGPS.

My only guess would be incompatibility between the 2 products.

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that it is a combination of too much glaze and morning dew potentially compromising the sealant's full effectiveness.
I don't think it's compatibility based on another autogeek forum member's precedent with the 2 products. And WGDGPS' s reputation for compatibility. I could be wrong.
I was told it did water bead. As I inspected there was some of the glazey substance in other areas just not as much as in the back of the car.

Definitely feeling strongly it's #1
I mean lol WGDGPS is definitely compatible with my foam pad (that'll teach me to stick with the disposable ones for sealants)

I'm planning on the next day; a quick wash and then using Blackfire Crystal Seal (Spray Sealant) on it. Aiming to get that nice fortifying/layer of protection with WGDGPS.
Looking at his car today the shine from the glaze was still there, even tho it it didn't look quite as good in covering up blemishes etc.

Definitely!
The forum is getting a report of my work on this car. It's given everything I can handle.
We all seriously should have a like a reality show tv series on rescuing our non car enthusiasts friends cars lol

Re: milky glazey like substance coming out of car paint
How is it possible to use too much of any LSP, when the excess is buffed off?
EZ and WGDGPS are compatible
The "milky white substance" is coming from another source, maybe road film

I was thinking not so much putting on too much sealant but maybe EZ and perhaps not getting all of the excess buffed off right with the sealant possibly affected by moisture before the 12 hour period.
I was told it was water beading.
