chrome accent piece
I have 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ that I keep very clean but ive been having trouble removing some scratches I have on the chrome accent piece above the rear license plate( long horizontal piece). Is there any way to remove these by hand as I dont have buffer.I have tried cleaner wax,and meguiars scratch removers and ultimate compound with no success.Any suggestions? I could buy a replacement part from the dealer but if it scratches this easily it could happen again and Id feel like I just wasted the money.I know the piece isnt real chrome,I think its some type of plastic with chrome looking finish on it.

Re: chrome accent piece
I've had success using a metal polish.
Put a dab on a MF towel and rub it in using a lot of pressure.
See what that does for you.
Good Luck!

Re: chrome accent piece
Thanks alot.I went to Advance Auto near my house and got both the Blue Magic Metal Polish and the Mothers Mag and aluminum Polish just in case and the Blue Magic worked great,.2 passes by hand with pressure and now the piece is perfect.
