Cordless Wet Vac

I live in an apartment and there is a nice heated underground parking garage, but the closest electrical outlet to my designated parking spot has to be 150ft+. Because of this inconvenience I've been looking at purchasing a cordless wet/dry vac, specifically this dewalt model DEWALT DCV581H 18/20-Volt MAX Cordless/Corded Wet-Dry Vacuum - Vacuum And Dust Collector Accessories - Amazon.com

I like that there is a corded option as well as the fact that I ca use the batteries with other tools. Has anyone used this vac or have any experience with other cordless wet vacs?

I have that model and its a very good vac. It works well and I got it for the same reason, because I have other tools that use the same battery.

It is not as powerful as a corded shop vac. But for being portable its a nice option.

Do you have to go over spots multiple times (like with a traditional $25-50 DustBuster)? Or maybe a better question - would I be able to properly/thoroughly clean my carpets with this unit? In other words would I be able to keep them looking brand new?

I tried this DeWalt vac, it had very weak suction...it was too bad because I really liked the design of it. I think it's nice for light duty vacuuming, but not so much for heavy duty use. I think it was rated 1 HP, where my shop vac is 6 HP. I sent it back to Amazon.

This is what I'm worried about. Some people say it works well and some say its weak. There is an outlet next to the wash bay. I was just trying to avoid plugging in my own vacuum into the same outlet as the apartment's public vacuum (although it does explicitly say to not use it on wet surfaces, so I could explain that my vacuum is a wet and dry vacuum). So with that said are there any good options for portable corded wet vacs? Something I could easily carry up and down from my apartment to the garage? In other words, nothing with wheels.

The little 2hp units from Stinger and Armor All are more than enough if you are just doing a few cars

Both are wet/dry

Both are pretty small

The Armor All version is around $20 and comes with several attachments, including an air concentrator tip that makes it fairly effective for blowing out interiors and even water from crevices after washing
