Duragloss 601/105 or 601/111 passes needed per panel

Have not used Duragloss products in awhile and need a reminder about how to use the above LSP products.

I first will be using Duragloss 601/501 on a white pad and using appx. speed 4 on Griots D/A polisher and will do appx. 4 passes per each 20"x20" section panel.

    Questions:

    1) How many passes are needed for each 20"x20" section panel, whichever combination I would choose 601/105 or 601/111?
    2) What speed on d/a polisher for this process?
    3) I assume use a black or blue pad, whatever is softer than white Lake Country flat pad?

    Thank You!

Re: Duragloss 601/105 or 601/111 passes needed per panel

No expert, but would say a multitude of passes with either product won't offer much added benefit. That is if your paint is already clean, and perhaps previously clayed.

That either are pretty much no different than applying a wax. #105 will have a little more in the way of detergent cleaners to cleanse the paint surface, #111 is said to be a pure sealant, so would assume no cleaners in it. Neither essentially have anything in the way of abrasives to correct paint-remove swirls, etc.

I would keep the time between the PBA, and either other product as short as reasonably possible, because my thinking is that the finish then might be more susceptible to attracting dirts-dusts which of course one wouldn't wish to be buffing into the paint when applying the final LSP product.
