Re: Does anyone ever get rid of a Flex?
Unless it fails so completely I'll be using both my Flex's until I can't polish anything anymore.
I have the 3401 and PE-15 and I just missed out on another 3401 on Craigslist a month ago. Brand new in the box (so they said) for $175.00 but missed it.
And I might be saving up for the new small rotary too.

Should have bought several when everyone sold theirs for the Rupes.

Thankfully I didn't make that mistake. I held onto my 3401's just in case I didn't like the Rupes 15 and 21 and I'm so thankful that I did. I used them each of the Rupes one time and they have been locked in the equipment cabinet ever since. I just need to make it a priority to sell them because at this point they are just taking up space.

I hear you. I purchased a Flex about a week ago and currently have my 21 up for trade for another 3401 or PE-14 rotary.

I didn't care for the Flex and actually traded it to Todd (yes - that Todd) for a Cyclo. I kept the Cyclo for a few years and then sold it since it wasn't used much and I got a good price for it.

Re: Does anyone ever get rid of a Flex?
Yeah, I almost did a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to sell off everything, and start over with a Duetto and a Mini.
Then the messages started coming in.
Then I unlisted the Flex, gave it a hug, and apologized for considering it's sale.
It looks like I may have an opportunity to to more work professionally in the future, and decided to just add the two Rupes machines to the arsenal, as well as a Flex pe-14. If the detailing gig doesn't materialize, at least I have some cool toys for my hobby.

Where would be the best place to list one for sale?

What's a good price for a used Flex 3401? I just found one for sale for about $200. Looks to be in good shape.

I broke down and bought a new one.
Couldn't find a used one. If it's in great condition I'd give 200 for it
