Suggest A Polish And A Wax
I'm looking for a new polish and a new wax.
Right now, I have been using Meg's Color X as my polish and Meg's NXT Liquid as my wax. Both have served me well, but since being on AG I would like to try something new.
What is a polish that gives a nice shine, can correct some swirls/scratches/defects, and is easy to apply either by hand or DA?
What is a wax that gives a great shine and gives a few months of durability?
After a quick search would the following be solid choices?
Polish - Meg's Ultimate Compound
Wax - Collinite #845

You could reduce it to a 1-STEP and go with BLACKFIRE TOTAL POLISH & SEAL.

If it were me Menzerna FG400 and SF4000 (I like SF4500 but that is me). Wolfgang Polishes are great too. This is a great 2-step combo. As for a wax....I would suggest any Collinite Wax as their products are excellent quality and very inexpensive.
This IMO would be a great start. However, I would look at using a sealant 1st and then top off with the wax. Menzerna Powerlock is a great sealant or the Wolfgang's.

There are many fine choices. Its all comes down to personal preference.
Do you like Smat or DAt abrasives. Since I learned using Smat abrasives, I don't feel like messing with Dat type abrasives

Re: Suggest A Polish And A Wax
There are a couple of combinations I've been playing with.
I mostly switch up the polish though, and use them with my favorite sealants or waxes. I really like Megs Ultimate Polish, and it's father m205. I recently picked up a bottle of So1o m86, to see how that plays with my selection of pads on a d/a.
I've even used Turtle Wax Premium Grade Polishing compound, and Surf City Garage Beyond Clay, and like them both. Note that the Turtle product is the one in the bottle, not the tub!
Menzerna, Blakfire, and Wolfgang polishes are on my radar right now. I hear what you're saying about wanting to branch out!

If you have a d/a polisher you could even consider the Megs Microfiber correction kit.

IMO...
•Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is quite an aggressive polish.
•Always start with the least aggressive product first...Something along the lines of M205, or even Ultimate Polish.
•Below is a comparison between many of Meguiar's SMAT products:

By the way:
Here's a breakdown of ColorX:

Also:
•Any Collinite Wax is a good wax.
