Re: Does anyone use a sponge for a Rinseless Wash? If so, what brand?

I have used a grout sponge for a few years however have now changed to the LC Wash Wedge. This thing is phenomenal for use with my ONR.

conman: I too bought some Armaly sponges from Lowes a few weeks ago and will use them up starting DEC. Maybe not as soft as ProLine but definitely worth trying. Just go gingerly and don't be too aggressive.

Klaase: I warned you about the price. I bot 3 from UK last year, used one with ONR and was impressed (very soft, very mild, its a white sponge which ONR blackened). I believe I paid $20/per incl shipping a year ago. Since I only need 3 months worth that's what I will be using for the winter.

Forgot that I have 1 Incredisponge and 1 LC blue sponge available also. So I should be all set.

Soak them in warm/hot water before using them. Then let them sit in your bucket with ONR a few minutes. I just make the solution and let them sit in the bucket as I'm getting the other stuff ready for the wash. By the time you start, they'll be really soft. They stay this way after I "prime" them line this the first time.

I switched to the Garry Dean method. However, I previously used a grout sponge and two-bucket method w/ a grit guard and did not notice any swirling. I just switched because the GD method made sense to me and seemed like better technique. Results in more laundry though.

When I do a 2bm rinseless, I use meguiars gold class sponges. They used to sell these and also have them in their holiday kits years ago. I'm down to my last one at this point and wishing they would make them again.

This is what they look like.

Re: Does anyone use a sponge for a Rinseless Wash? If so, what brand?

for the past several years for me it has been two buckets and these older Cobra 530 plush towels, since they were bad in terms of linting but were a good enough nap to do rinseless and waterless washes. i was using them for years.

now i use some weird super plush 1100 GSM towels i got on the web and for tighter areas, some 600 GSM towels from the same place before i got my MFM towels.

i probably could use my MFM towels or the Increditmitt, honestly. but i don't for a few reasons.

Microfiber only for me - and GDWM only as well. Sponges just don't make sense to me for washing delicate painted surfaces.

Boy if there's anything better to apply a rinseless wash than microfiber madness wash media, I haven't found it.

I use Dodo Juice Supernatural wash Sponge with all my rinse less washes (ONR, HFE, UWW, DGRW, DJ LOE).
