I was wondering if this is a decent polisher? I dont think i would be using it that much only in tight areas.
Can i burn the paint with this polisher
Or am I better off with the Rupes 3in
The Griot's 3" will not burn the paint. If you are considering getting the Rupes 3" vs. Griots 3"....then Hands down not even close get the Rupes over the Griots 3" The Rupes is a SUPERIOR DA
I have the Griots 3" and I only use it to apply sealant or wax or very minor scratches. For a similar result except more effective. I set my PC 7424 XP with a 2 7/8 " backing plate that can do the same as the Griots 3" except significantly better.
My point being, if you have a PC 7424 XP that may be a cost affective way
I use the Griot's 3" and it is a bit toyish, however for the price difference l would not change. The Griot's faults are not much power and it get hot. Not unworkable vs. hand application. I also have 2 and 3" backing plates for my rotary but they are hard to use in tight spots.

Been doing detailing 23 years .dont get it u can apply waxes and sealants quickly but that's about it has no cutting power if u bump up the max speed all it does it vibrates,I tried to polish Alcoa wheels with it useless.I called my friend Robert aka first impression detail to borrow his Matabo awesome tool to own.
