    cleaning rubber floor mats

Quick question on cleaning rubber floor mats. I have a can or two of spray foam tire cleaner. I don't really use it on tires, but will this hurt or help clean the rubber floor mats?

    Thanks

Good point. I should have added this would not be for the front seats, just the back where the kids are.

i don't see why not.. Eventually it will wear off..

I'm actually trying to think of a product that will restore the black in my rubber mats.. They are faded black now.

I use Amazing Roll Off. Dilute 1:2. Rinse mats, spray on a let dwell a few minutes. Scrub with a tire brush and rinse. ARO has some protectant properties in it, so they end a decent looking black. I never use any dressing on floor mats, front or rear.

I ended up spraying them with some APC at 10:1 let it soak for a minute or two, and brushed with a tire brush. I rinsed them off, and shot them with some Megs Tire Foam and let them be overnight. They look like new and are nice dark color.

I had some really good luck this week cleaning a clients mats with Megs apc in a foaming sprayer. Let if dwell for a few then attacked them with a brush. After that I sprayed some 303 aerospace protectant on them. They turned out looking great!
