    Duragloss Whitewall cleaner BOGO

Have any of you used this? I was thinking of picking some up to try out, as I have two Oldsmobiles with BFGs with raised white letters, and as we all know the Bleche Wite isn't what it once was.

    What say you?

Its one of the few DG products I haven't tried yet but I would trust DG to deliver the good here! Btw, what did they take out of Bleach-White to make it not so good anymore?

I believe they took the white out.

Not so much what they took out...
It might be what they put in (?):

I wasn't sure what had been changed formulation-wise, that is the first time I have looked at the MSDSs side by side to compare. Thanks Bob. I do know that the Black Magic version does not perform as well as the old Westley's version on my good old raised whites.

Well, it can't hurt to try the DG. Clearly, the price is right!

I have it and tested against Mothers Back to Black tire cleaner. Both seem to work the same on black tires. I do not have whitewalls or raised white lettering so I cannot comment on that aspect.

I was going to try it until I found zep fast 505 and then I realized nothing cleans tires as good and is as cheap as the zep stuff.

I'm not trying anything but Tuff Shine. I scrubbed some tires yesterday with APC. Foam was white - no dirt. Then I spray them with the TS cleaner and brown stuff starts pouring off the tire all over the place before I touch it. The tire actually had body shop paint on it - APC wouldn't touch it - but TS did the trick.

I don't know what's in that stuff - but it's pretty amazing; albeit costly.

Poorboy's APC has been working great for me on my truck. My toyota came with a set of BFGs that has raised white letters. Poorboy's takes the letters from speckled black spots and just a over all dirty oily mess to looking like new.

I am sure if I used Tuff Shine tire cleaner it would still pull off a ton of dirt and whatnot, but whats the point. They come out clean looking and the tire is plenty clean for conventional tire dressings. Lately I have been using Duragloss #253, love the look and it stays for a few weeks at least.

I would like to add that a foaming spray head does wonders for cleaning your tires. I'm using Purple Power right now because I needed an APC and don't need to place a large order here right now and the stuff works great when combined with the foaming sprayer. When I spray it on the brown stuff comes to the surface right away, lifts it and it runs down the sidewall and onto the ground!
