I used to be a weirdo when it came to polishing. I polished everything! Ive tried a bunch of different polishes and my favorite hands down is Wenols (red). However, wolfgangs metal polishing system looks pretty good if you are willing to fork over the cash.

Can't go wrong with Old School. Wenol's is time tested and Mother approved.
I have yet to use it on aluminum but depending the damage P21s polishing soap is so easy to use it's not even funny. No mess and gunk everywhere. I let my 8 yr old use it. She likes to polish the flatware that does not come out of the dishwasher perfect. I'm serious she has my OCD. I just think she thinks it's fun because she never knew there was actual soap that can do that.

I want to try p21 polishing soap. Wenols really is some good stuff. I used to be really big into gopeds and I mean I'd attend the goped nationals in Vegas every year lol. The chrome parts were always so expensive so what I did is I'd buy the billet aluminum parts and go to town on them with wenols which made it look like chrome. The crank case that they come with are raw aluminum in color and with wenols and a dremel mine looked chrome. I swear by the stuff. The blue bottle of it for chrome isn't that impressive though but it gets the job done

Re: Tips for polishing aluminum wheels?

I need to post a picture of my wheels and get some advice on this topic I know very little about. I'm spoiled by always having chrome or clear coated wheels in the past. This is the first set of billet specialties wheels that I have to shine. Please check back tomorrow and lend your advice when I post a picture. I don't need the heavy duty link above for badly oxidized wheels. I can start a new thread if you think this is a thread jack. It seems to fit in here.
