No need for wash buckets for my car anymore...

I invested in an AutoBrite Foam Cannon + 5 litres of AutoBrite Magifoam and Auto Finesse Avalanche. My ZL1 is a daily driver, but I wash it every weekend. It doesn't get overly dirty. I hit it with my foam cannon, let dwell for 10 minutes, then rinse with a pressure washer. This will leave the car 99% clean. I then use UWW+ as a drying aid and to get the paint slick. Dress the tires. Done!

On a side note, I use the foam cannon through CR Spotless DI water. This makes a big difference in the thickness of foam compared to regular city water. I have a gas pressure washer which helps, too.

I've found that a coated car can actually wash almost totally clean with a foam cannon-citrus presoak. Just rinse, and hit it with your favorite waterless wash as you did. Yes, the buckets can go...unless the car is not maintained regularly.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

Do you still properly clean your tires before dressing them? I can see the paint and wheels getting clean but the tires get grime, tar, oils, etc. from driving around that aren't so easily cleaned.

Absolutely. While the foam is dwelling on the tire, I can see dirt releasing off the tire, so I'll scrub them with my tire brush and they come out clean enough to re-dress.

    Hi Mark...

    Just curious:
What LSP is on the ZL1?
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

    Currently, Four Star UPP.

FWIW, I'm not a coating fan. Good products, just not for me.
