Re: How to get quicker but not lose quality?
Nothing wrong with taking your time. If you're going to do it for money you first need to assess the customer and how perfect they want it. You be surprised how many people just want the carpets spot treated and vacuumed and the trim just lightly cleaned and dressed. If they want it perfect then let them know that it will take you more time and therefore cost more. Same thing goes for paint. An AIO is absolutely fine if the customer is on a budget and looking for a quicker turnaround. I've done an exterior AIO in about 4 hours or so. Again, more correction equals more money.

For me I don't offer a basic interior cleaning unless I've done the car with in the past 4-6 week. I only offer a complete interior which means everything get cleaned takes me from 4-6 hours and long if the car is trashed. The key here is make sure your getting paid for what your doing. I never quote an interior until I see it so I don't get burned. My complete interior starts at $160.

I just saw my buddy's interior and he wants it cleaned... And he wants to know how much am I going to charge him... N I honestly replied to him I have no clue... He laughed and said find out and let me know, he does know I'm starting. He is a coworker of mine.
He has salt stains from the winter, a lot of dog hair, some stains here and there on the head liner, it's not horrible looking... And I have no clue what to charge him... I def don't want to over charge him as he is my friend and get spread the word in his neighborhood... Also his leather is black so I would just go over it quickly... I was thinking I would spend about 2-3 hours on it... Charge him 150? (I'm driving about 40 miles away... And there are tolls)

You are right about the interior quotes, to most "it's not bad" usually means its terrible and beyond normal. Learned from experience lol
