Re: How do I Remove Hand Painted Graphics?
I did some removal on a RV one time by wet sanding. You have to be super careful when you get to the point of hitting the original clear coat you stop. It came out good, but it took HOURS and HOURS. I would almost go for a repaint myself. Red maybe?

Is it sprayed or all done with pin striping paint?

I can't tell from the pictures but sort of looks like stripes were done with brush and the color inside was done maybe with a sponge? I can't tell. If it is all pin stripe paint hand laid out this will sound crazy but an old trick a pin striping guy once showed me is to use easy off oven cleaner. It has to be the original unscented plain version. Spray it on let it soak a little and pin stripe paint wipes right off.

As a side note I don't know how bad easy off oven cleaner brand oven cleaning spray is on clear coat. But I used it on a fleet of trucks for a Construction company locally here and it took it all off real easy and left no marks that weren't already there. A good polish and it looked like it was never there.

I second the oven cleaner. I do alot of hand pinstriping and oven cleaner is the best, try a small area first . Make sure your truck is cool to the touch and in the shade. Let it sit on there for about 15 minutes or until you see the color start running down your truck. you will have to polish your truck afterwards because of the size of those graphics.

Just remember not scented get original. Tried it once on the lemon stuff and it didn't do anything to it.

Thanks everyone, I don't know the type of paint but I do know that the middle sections are sponged. This is the guy who did the work.
